Poetry in Purgatory is an absolute masterpiece!

I am completely blown away by how engaging and fun this game is. Every plot twist left me on the edge of my seat, especially that last one—just WOW. The complexity of the characters and their relationships is so well-developed, and I’d absolutely LOVE to see more routes, particularly for Volimnius and Sheol. 

TYMEDUUUSTTT- MAKE SHEOL ROUTE, AND MY LIFE. IS. YOURS!

I’m dying to see more of Sheol’s backstory—why did she get replaced by Astrid as the Voice? That’s a major plot hole that needs filling, and I’m here for it.

As for the characters, I’m obsessed with the depth and mystery around people like Guide, Voice, and Remm. Voice definitely needs a more firm side to her, and I’m totally here for some betrayal drama between her and Guide—such a game-changing plot twist waiting to happen. I’d also love to see Remm’s insane, selfish side shine more—she’s just such a fascinating character, and I think showing her darker traits would make the narrative even more intense, you know?

Bliss’ route has me questioning his motives, and I really want to see him dive deeper into his manipulation of Isobel. I think there’s more to their relationship that we haven’t even scratched the surface of yet. And maybe, just maybe, he could come clean about everything? That would be a devastating but epic plot twist.

Also, Apechs’ backstory and his potential to betray us? I am SO here for that. There’s so much tension between him and Guide at the last part they intracted with, and I feel like we’re only seeing the surface of it all. It would be a game-changer to see Apechs protecting us or even switching sides—it’d be such a shocking and satisfying twist.

Don’t even get me started on Volimnius—I NEED more of his arc! He’s this perfect blend of mysterious and straightforward, and I’m dying to see him take a stronger stand against Remm, maybe even defending Isobel. That would be such an emotional and angsty moment. And their past with the Voice? Oh my god, I need that lore NOW.

And YES, I want to see Indalecio’s past—how did he become a shadow? Was he always this sweet character? What if he's actually not sweet but rather manipulating everyone? His route would add such an intriguing layer to the game.

Isobel’s character is well-written, but I do think there’s room for a more morally complex side of her. I’d love to see her show more depth—sometimes she feels too good or too rebellious, and I think a balanced mix of both would make her even more compelling. Morally grey Isobel, waiting for you girl!

There are a few small mechanics that could use some tweaking, like having to track down characters at specific times. It can get a bit repetitive, but honestly, it’s a small price to pay for such an immersive experience. I’d also love to see more exploration of how each character ended up in Purgatory or Heaven—what were their sins? What’s their story? The world-building here is so rich that I need to know everything.

Character Backgrounds: 9.5/10 – There’s so much potential for deeper exploration of certain characters, but the complexity and intrigue are still top-notch.

Love Routes: 8.5/10 – The routes are engaging, though some relationships could use a bit more buildup and nuance. Still, they’re a blast to follow.

Plot Twist Surprises: 9.9/10 – This game knows how to deliver mind-blowing twists. More surprises and character shifts would make it even better.

The artwork is interesting, and the story premise as well.
And I DO like that there is choices, even if the ones I want are not always there. (I love that you -can- act hostile tho.)

The writing is pretty good and funny too.

Wouldn't it be a paradox if you're allowed something in heaven that is strictly forbidden by the bible? 

g-d would have to go against their own laws and rules to let you have ANYTHING you desire. It would simply not be possible, unless he/she is a wishy-washy fool. (Admittedly, in this case...the shoe kinda fits...)

So if the thing you enjoy are things forbidden by the bible, then heaven is no better than hell, and may even be worse.

....if that happened to me, I'd run away screaming after touching that book. >_>

The mc is an idiot.
I wanna wack her over the head with a baseball bat, but I have a feeling the game is gonna do it for me. Stupidity comes home to roost.

(On the bright side at least she sounds like me with her morality in the red-zone, so I'm not complaining about her personality. Just her tendency to accept things she really should reject --in my opinion.)

I have to say you captured the spirit of g-d perfectly tho.
Especially with the whole "I love you but I'm gonna punish you if you don't obey me blindly" part.

I question the mc's taste in bedroom...
But I will concede it fits her character perfectly.

I will say this tho: The game really pulls you in and makes you want to keep playing.

So far it's a pretty good game.
Despite my complaints, I DO really like it.

If you publish this for sale, I recommend having the whole prologue for the demo.

It's not a game that grabs you from the first moment.
It grows on you.

...the hallucinogenic type. lol

But by the time the prologue ends, you get really into it and wanna know more.

I kinda hope to see this game on Steam now, so I can add it to my collection there.

I'm a little sad I can't say yes to being the singer for rainbowhair's band.
Especially if it's rock or metal. lol

The constant having to go look for people, and they only are there at set points of the day DO get tedious after a while.

Hopping over the map once or twice isn't so bad, and I suppose it wouldn't be horrible if that's how the game worked --much as I prefer a more typical storytelling myself...

It's the whole need to have to match the right -time- that's annoying.

I also dislike that the main chara meekly follow her orders.
(But that may be because I'm stubbornly rebellious, even when it's detrimental to be so. lol
And also because I really don't like heaven. I'd hightail out of there as fast as possible if I ever ended up in a situation like that.
....I'm not even kidding.)

Overall I like this game tho.

And the story is interesting and well-written.

Also I LOVE how some of the names have meanings behind them like Isobel meaning pledged to god and Remm's last name literally just being god, 'Theo,' and Indalecio meaning messenger of god?? And sheol having something to do with sadness!!!! ANYWAYS CANT WAIT FOR MORE... I AWAIT INDALECIO CONTENT

I love this game sm!! :3 was a very fun and interesting game and i kinda felt bad for pursuing 2 relationships with both apechs and bliss but the end of act 1 shocked me!! Great game would recommend :3

MC is pretty annoying (sry i hate ppl like her) and i almost feel sorry for Bliss for going through his route with such girl as MC but the game itself is very very good 'n interesting! thank u for ur hard work guys u r doing a great job w/ it.

i luv your game. really! It seems to me that you can study this novel forever and still not reach the end ehehe. i accidentally found this novel and read it all in one gulp on the first of June. it was a very cool experience! I'll be looking forward to updates. the Guide is so mystical that I want to understand him a little bit (n find out how the Voice can stand him. that bro is unbearable /j). this sisterly dynamic between Isobel and the Voice just destroyed me. it's so charming, so sweet, I can'ttttt
