A look back on the week that was...

Current game word count: 34,272 (+ 2515 since last devlog)

I was sick last week which sucked, but at least it allowed me to lie down in bed with my laptop, cramming in some visual novel work! Gotta take the good with the bad. So a quite decent amount of words ended up being written, and a super exciting new part of the story is about to be revealed (I truly believe you've never seen a story quite like this one...!).

Also, the amount of page views for the game is nearing 500 (yay!). Little by little we're spreading the word. <3

With that out of the way, have a look at this week's character bio!

Say hello to Cam. 

He's a dependable friend and overall nice guy whose low-key, and sometimes excruciatingly slow, way of talking hides a surprisingly impressive intellect. He loves learning strange things about pretty much anything, and you'll most often find him sitting alone (by choice) listening to loud music in his expensive headphones. His closest friend is Bliss, and they've known each other since childhood. Being interested in music, but having no musical talent of his own, Cam has often looked up to Bliss throughout the years.

All of my characters have parts of me in them. Like me, Cam is very interested in music and has a love for "strange information" (or onödig information - "unnecessary information" - as we call it in Swedish). In addition, in my work as a grade school teacher, I often meet children who talk very slowly and often get teased for that by other kids, even though they're in most cases just choosing their words carefully. I wanted to create a character that fights that "slow & stupid" trope. :)
