Gearing Up For the New Demo - Weekly Devlog #22

A look back on the week that was...

Current game word count: 51 692 (+ 792 since last devlog)

Hello there, one and all! I've got to stop posting these logs later and later, it's getting to the point where I'm posting them so late that I'll eventually come full circle and miss a week lol (started at Sunday, been Monday for a few weeks, and now Tuesday). But hey, in the spirit of last week's devlog, I'm going to cut myself some slackprogress is progress!

Didn't write a whole lot this last week (although I did finish another character event and story CG), as I've been focusing my efforts on the new demo, coming out a lot sooner than I had originally anticipated. That might seem strange, but keep in mind that the original demo came out in October, and I've been working my ass off ever since then, so the current build is very different; and therefore a lot of new things are already in place.

To be more specific about these "new demo focusing efforts", I've been...

* ...doing rewrites of the early parts of the script to fit later events!
* ...implementing unlockables for the demo's duration (gallery & lore entries)!
* ...adding voices for the characters who lacked them; that's right, your teachers aren't silent anymore!
* ...fixing a few silly ol' bugs!

In terms of length, the demo will have a similar cut-off point to the first one. But in terms of content, there's a lot more of everything. Expect a gargantuan changelog to accompany the demo. It's really quite ridiculous, lol.

The vibes of Riva City

I almost forgot (but not really, so I don't know why I'm saying that)! A new track from the game's soundtrack is now available to stream everywhere. Check out the smooth and suggestive "Riva Sunrise", and let me know what you think!

Much love,
